dream honeymoon

I got a brochure in the mail today for Oceania Cruises. I looked through it and found my dream honeymoon. Imperial Explorations
Look at all the places we would go!
I want to go back to Japan! I would love for Erin to go with me too. Plus, I can go back to Okinawa and Kyoto. I loved it there! We didn't make it to Hiroshima when I was there, so it would be great to go. I'm more into the places in Japan, but China would be cool too. :o)
Now if only we had $10,398 ~ that's air fair for two and the 15 day cruise for 2 + $500 ship credit. Erin asked how we would pay and I said with hopes and dreams. :o)

One day we will go....

Honeymoon

For about 3 hours I have been searching for honeymoon ideas. I've searched Mexico, Hawaii, Florida - Disney. I've found some great hotels and ideas. But, I wanted to do something that isn't a lot of money and go where we haven't gone before. I remember Jens trip to Asheville, NC and all the fun stuff they got to do. My grandma went there once too and loved it. I figured...October, the weather would be really nice for all the out door stuff and I love doing all that kind of stuff. Plus, we could drive or fly and I found a hotel at a reasonable price. Plus with AAA we could get a discount on tickets.

So, I have a bunch of sites to show Erin when I run the idea by him tonight. Who knows....the only other idea I have is Cocoa Beach FL and asking my grandpa if we can stay in his condo. Then we would just need plan tickets and I found some for $77 a person or about $160 round trip per a person. Who knows....

honeymoon

So I think we have figured out our honeymoon. We are going to wait and go in December. It will give us time to save a bit of money and get through the holidays. My parents live in Austin, TX now so, the plan is to fly there on the 26th of December and stay with them a night or two. Then we can drive to Corpus Christi, it's about a 3 hour drive from Austin. We are thinking we can stay there from probably the 29th - 1st of January. Therefore, our honeymoon is an after Christmas vacation and we can visit my parents. If they are coming here in October who knows if they will make it here for Thanksgiving or Christmas. It'll be a two for one. Also, Erin hasn't been to Austin and neither of us have been to Corpus Christi. Plus I found a Residence Inn there at a good price...even for staying there on New Years Eve. Look at all the fun things there are to do : (it's all 10 - 15 miles from the hotel)

Maybe....

So I keep getting e-mails from Macys about registering for gifts. Although I can't wait to do this, I feel that I need to wait till I have a wedding date planned before I do that. However, in messing around on the wedding websites I came across these two sites
http://wedding.weddingchannel.com/catalog/store_information.asp?retailer_uid=11500&placement=16&l=121582&c=5082&t=93&s=609707963&p=100820&linkUID=201
and

Instead of registering for gifts for our home we could register for our honeymoon. I'm very tempted! But I'm also very old school and feel that maybe I shouldn't ask people to pay for my honeymoon. However, Erin and I have lived together for almost 2 years now and I inherited a lot of things from my parents and great-grandparents. Plus, if we need something we buy it. So we were going to only register at Target for stuff...you know ask for towels just to get new ones. But nothing is needed....so why not ask for a honeymoon!

On a side note....I saw the end of Oprah and I want to adopt a Yorkie! http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20090220_tows_puppymills
Erin is saying no though.... :o(
