I'm already thinking about ideas for Thanks You cards after the wedding. I really, really, really want to make them myself. :o) I found these on the Archivers website. I put them up in order of how much I like them...

Card 2 - I would put our monogram instead of the baby

What do you think? Also I think I'm going to go take a card making class on July 31st. It's $15 and it covers all the supplies I would need to make 4 different cards. Erin said it would be ok. That could also be because I asked him while he was playing a video game. :oP

Here are a few pictures of finished and beginning projects...It's been a busy week.

First off - our guestbook was on the doorstep when we got home today.

We LOVE it!! Thanks Jen! 

I actually finished a letter BEFORE the baby was born. :o)

The letter 'G' for my cousins pending baby. I think she is due in September.

Maps/address labels, printed and cut! The maps are all different sizes and that's ok. 

Still have about 15 address labels to make/cut. But I'm waiting on those addresses. 

Cookie cutters for the Bridal shower favors. I'm making and decorating cookies.

Yeah, hearts are boring...but they didn't have anything really cute. 

I was looking for a dress or XOX ones. Ah well, I didn't feel like paying shipping online.

I will be testing them out next week, Erin will take them to work for taste testing. Be on the look out for a post.

My wedding crafts! I am using our trunk top as storage since the wedding stuff is starting to pile up. I have my binder/paper/files/gifts/paper items all here. Plus the IPod station for music. :o)

I have been busy! :o) 

I was going to have Jen design a lot of wedding 'extras' for me and then I decided Tuesday that I wanted to do something. I first decided to make address labels. I know that it's not 'etiquette' to use address labels. However, I found these wrap around label on Martha Stewart forever ago. However, they are plain and I can't save them. I messed around and came up with these VERY simple labels. Plus, I have them all saved and all but 13 (I need addresses) printed out. I will cut them all out later....

Then I have spent a few days working on the programs. I am just finishing them now. Adding flowers on a few pages. I changed the type to brown and will probably print them on cream or off-white paper. Still deciding how to fasten them. I am thinking of two holes on the side and ribbon. Not sure yet, I have time....I have to get them printed first...I think I'm going to take them to Fed Ex/Kinkos. Also, add in the ceremony info.

Invites: Still no invites that are acceptable to me. Therefore, Jen is going to whip something up for me to print at home and fill out. I don't know what I would do without her. 

Games: One is The Purse Game -- Basically there is a checklist of items that could be in your purse. Each item on the list has a point value. They will work in teams and the team with the most points wins. 

Second game is a Bingo game, but it is based on what gifts I receive. I made up boards this morning. I had to pull up my registries because I couldn't remember what we had asked for. :o)

Gifts (for winning games): I am not sure on this yet. I think I'm going to get some Glade Candles - the Fragrance Collection ones. (Love them!) I also have a few cross stitch items I can frame. Still waiting on my moms input. 

Food: Since my mom and I are both coming in from out of town and my aunt is hosting it, I want it to be easy. Still waiting on my mom's input but I'm thinking, fruit and veggie tray, I could make cookies, soft drinks. Easy. 

Any other ideas???

Not sure what else we will need. I just want it to be relaxed, easy, and fun. While we girls are doing that, Erin and his guys will be playing golf, poker, whatever Travis has planned for his bachelor weekend. Therefore I'm thinking after the party, I'm going to drag Jen (maybe Britt if she doesn't have plans) to the mall and we are going to buy my wedding day shoes. Maybe my mom too. Then maybe a girls dinner. Who knows. I know my mom will want to spend time with my Aunt Pam. Keep her in your prayers...she looses her hair to Chemo this week. :o( OK too sad to end this post with that!! Not when it's about a bridal shower. So instead, I'll post a picture of this cute recipe box that's on one of my registries. It's from Martha Stewart collection.

I went to Michael's and Target and didn't see any shower invites that I liked.

However, I'm now thinking of getting a template from Invitationland.com and printing them at Kinkos....Who knows....

Also, any ideas on what to do at the shower? My mom asked me what I wanted and I'm blank....

update - to get the invites from Target it will be $20 in shipping. I think NOT! Back to the drawing board. Anyone know where to get cute invites?!

wedding shoes

I saw these Nina shoes at Von Maur today! I LOVE them. I think I may have to get them for my wedding day. I just don't like the shoes that are out there. They just don't say 'spend $$ on me!' These do! :o) Plus, talking about it at dinner, they are me. I don't buy normal looking heels. My heels....are my outfits. I plan outfits around my heels and am almost always stopped because my heels are great! SO, these are definitely a 'me' heel. I'll give it a week or two and if I am still thinking about them, I think we will go back to Von Maur and buy them. :o) What do you think?!

I love that man! I was telling Aric last weekend that he is sooo excited about getting married. It just warms my heart and I know I'm marrying my sole mate! I am just so ready to start our marriage. Plus I can't wait until we get to be parents....if he is like this I can only imagine him when we get to that point.

Also, I think we are going to get our rings engraved. Even though one day down the road I hope to have a different set, this ring will ALWAYS be my wedding ring. My engagement ring will be handed down, but not my wedding ring. It'll go in a special place in my jewelry box, on a chain around my neck. SO, I want to make it even more special and have both rings engraved. I want it to be special too. Something that is only understood by us. I just don't know what yet. We have an idea, I just need to price it out and see if the phrases will fit inside our rings...I am almost 100% positive they will. Just over 3 months!! :o)

UPDATE:

$18 + tax to have both rings engraved with the phrases we are thinking of. I thought it would be more. :o) Now to see if they can do rings...I be they can.

Our wedding rings. We went to IDG (international diamond and gold) They are closing and these rings were 1/2 off. Just simple silver bands. One day I'll get an upgrade. :o) I'm excited!! We can officially get married!!! Site, DJ, Photographer, Florist, Rings, Dress, Suit...ALL DONE!! (man....I hope we haven't forgotten anything....)

I think I found how I want my hair for our wedding...I saw it in my magazine

I am also trying to order bridesmaid jewelry...I have found theirs at Sam Moon and decided if I want something for my hair, I'd rather get it with the jewelry and save on shipping costs. I love these pins! I am thinking I'll have pearls and/or diamond jewelry and thought these were great.

Do you think they will work with the hairstyle?! I just can't decide. 

Also the bridesmaid jewelry is GREAT! I love it!! I may have to by a set for me. I wish I could post a picture but then there would be no surprise for Jen. I also found something else...I just need to check with Erin if I can use the Macy's card, then I could get them. :oP It would be great to have those gifts out of the way.

We have a photographer!! YAY!! Their website We are going to meet up this week and sign away. I'm sooo excited. This was the last big thing. Dj, flowers, site, and photographer are now all booked. Now to concentrate on finding rings, my shoes, and making all the homemade details to personalize my wedding. :o)

decisions...

We keep going back and forth on honeymoon ideas. I want to be able to site see and do stuff. Erin just wants to lay on a beach. I however, can't just lay on a beach...I will burn! I think we have maybe decided on something though....well for now....

I think we are going to go to Chicago to stay in one of the Renaissance hotels there. We can shop, go to the museums, or just relax at the hotel. Plus, we could stop by Jen and Nicks for a trash the dress session with Jen and Hannah's 1st b-day party. The Renaissance hotels are offering 20% off stays and there is a stay for breakfast package or a romance package. Maybe, this idea will stick! :o)

Also, I was looking for rings online. :oP This is what I'm looking to get. It matches my engagement band. Now to find a ring for Erin.

My final decision is our guestbook. I had one idea that I showed my mom and she said that no one would do it. :o/ However, while at Jens I saw her guestbook...I somehow missed it on her wedding day. oops, I was busy though. I really liked it. Erin liked it too. I think with the pictures Jen took this weekend I will make a picture guestbook too.

I'm hoping to do our tasting in the next week or two, so we can make some decisions on the reception food. I'm really excited. Plus, I emailed a lot of photographers last night, so maybe we will decide on one. Then a lot of the big things are decided on!! finally

Still lots to do...I feel like I'm just going to run out of time! It's going to be here before I know it!

I realized that I never posted a picture of our new pillows for our couch. I have been looking around for pillows for a long time. I'm tired of always using the pillows from our bed. We got these at Pier 1. Erin picked them out, they are really soft!

I really, really want to change my header and colors on this blog, but I should wait until next week. If things work out we will get some pictures taken and then I can use one of those.

Also, this whole rehearsal dinner is getting out of hand! I'm at this point, OVER IT! I feel that the dinner should be for the wedding party...a way to say thank you for your help and support and then standing up for us on wedding day. It's about Erin and I and the promise we are going to make to each other the next day....it's not longer about us! It's a family reunion for his family. The count and the cost is getting out of hand! I just give up. I don't even want a dinner anymore. :o) That's my tantrum for losing control of this dinner! It's an issue for me....losing control. :oP

Needless to say I'm ready for the weekend! I hope that in some way things work out and we can go to Jens on Thursday as planned! I think I'm going to go over finances this afternoon and see if we can do that, instead of heading there on Saturday.

Just cleaning today and working out my bad mood...ugh. Then tomorrow I think I'm going to go to Target and get Jens b-day present. :o) Back to my project and waiting for Erin to get home.

Needless to say last night and still today I'm a bit of a bridezilla. :o) And through my tears last night, I told Erin I was being selfish and I have to accept change to my plans....but that no one asked me and I feel I should have been asked! He understood and hugged me. Even tried to explain the reason why to me....but I wasn't having any of it. :oP (Jen I'll myspace message you the trama. :o) )

I just woke up still annoyed with it all! I needed to vent.
