YAY!!!

NOW TO START THE NEVERENDING WEDDING LIST! :O)

Confluence Park

We fell in love with Confluence Park in Columbus, Ohio today. (we didn't even bother with the other venue) :o) Here are some of the pictures I took. Keep in mind that they are remodeling and changing out the carpet right now so it's not as pretty as it could be. Plus I can only imagine the view in October with all the changing leaves! My colors will be perfect! (Jen this place reminds me of your bridal shower venue) Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have a deposit made and can plunge full speed ahead with my planning!

Lexi...

So, no wedding stuff today....just Lexi. She is sooo adorable. :o) The windows are open and she just loves it! I held her and took her outside today...I think that might have been a bad idea. I thought it would scare her...it didn't. So, on Tuesday we are going to the vet so she can get meds for fleas/heart worm and then we are going to get her a harness and leash and take her outside. Just on our porch. I can't wait! Here are some pics I took today of her watching the birds. She was protecting me. :o)

And then she does like to help me cross stitch. This is her biting my fabric. I'm constantly picking her hair out of the string and off the fabric.

So that's our girly....or we call her bug eyes (in the morning when she is in your face her eyes look too big for her own face) we call her stinky too. All sorts of wonderful nicknames!

reception

I made a few decisions laying awake sick last night. Here they are....

I am going to do this for my seating cards...I'll pick the colors to match the paper below. Use those pinks, yellows, and oranges.

Then I'm going to use this paper from SEI to make favors. I can alternate the side I use so some can be flowers and some can be the stripes. I think since I'm not going to have huge flower arrangements or lots of extras using these colors will go a long way in setting the mood for our wedding.

Since I mentioned the paper I'm using for favors here are some of the packaging ideas I have for our favors. We will probably do personalized M&M's. Erin loves that idea or monogrammed cookies. Possibly both. My holders (using the flower paper) would be these....

I just can't wait to start making these things!! I think that's one of the things I'm most excited about! Erin has his new game system so I can have LOTS of time to make them. I can't wait till Saturday to look at sites and then hopefully by this time next week we could have some things decided on! :o)

Then I can't stop looking at invites and changing my mind there is this site. MountainCow, they actually sell software and the supplies to make your own.

I went to SEI from the Martha Stewart wedding blog and fell in love with some paper.

Then there is littleput on Etsy. Such cute favors and ideas!

I also played around on Real Simple and found out that Tulip means True Love...I did good picking that flower for our wedding!

Centerpieces...

I have decided on our centerpieces. Erin and I discussed them today on the way home from lunch. We saw these vases at Micheal's...they are short and rectangle. I'm going to put small stones or pebbles in them and a few tulips. I might do votive candles around them...or just my favors. I haven't decided on that yet. I can do the favors on the tables, but I really like this tree

and would love to do it on a favor table. If I don't do a favor table then I will put it on the seating card table. Who knows yet....guess I should wait till after Saturday when I have a better idea of what the wedding site will be and what they can do space wise.

Tulips....I LOVE them and they are my flower for our wedding, so I figured I would put them up.

Not a lot of wedding stuff to post since we were in Indy ALL weekend. I did finally get a new printer! YAY! I just hooked it up. That's wedding related. I'll use it to print wedding favors out and other stuff. :o)

Also, Erin got a PS3....spoiled much?! BUT, he is putting a LOT of old PS1 games on eBay and we took a bunch of PS2 games into Game Stop and he can use the credit towards new games. So, I guess it's ok.....I keep teasing him it's his wedding gift from me. He tells me that doesn't work cause he used his credit card to get it....BUT, his money is my money....lol KIDDING!! I don't think that way.

Erins mom told me about a thing on Good Morning America and this couple cut $7,000 off their wedding costs. One way is they went and ordered their flowers from Costco. I think that's a GREAT idea. I've been looking for flower shops that will sell me a lot of flowers at cost, but I think I'll try Costco or Sams too.

I'm also going to get this book from the library. I saw it at the book store and it looked really helpful.

6 DAYS till we look at wedding locations! YAY!
