coke tabs...

I keep meaning to post this and finally am!

Save your coke tabs! It took Erin and I awhile but now it's second nature to open a coke can and just take the tab off.

It's such an easy way to help out a great cause!

I need a job...

So, I really need a job. I have joined new groups out of my boredom...but they could be helpful too. I joined this networking site, Linkedin. My dad sent it to me. Sometimes getting a job is all about how well you network. It always help.

I also joined Twitter. I have gone back an forth about it since I started hearing about it. I just wasn't sure. Well, Jen joined...so I did. Actually, I just figured she wouldn't be updating myspace as much, so I had to get Twitter. I did however, make sure I could get an app for my phone first. :oP I can't join something if I can't have it at my fingertips. What's the point of having my phone if I can't use it. I found some apps, but they don't have a lot out for the Storm yet, but what I found is working.....for now. :o)

Anyways, joining Twitter...I didn't want a weird name and I didn't want to use my last name because I'll only have it for 4 more months. Therefore, I jumped the gun and used Erins last name...my future last name. I was soooo giddy when I went to tell Erin what I did. But when I log on to update my status it's so weird using McFall. But it makes me smile.

And Jen....My mom and Erins mom LOVED the guest book!! When you can start that business, you better use our pics for your portfolio, we will write rave reviews!! :o)

ready for the week

I can't wait for next week!

First off, I'm hoping we get some big items checked off on our wedding list. Thursday we have a tasting and from there we should be able to decided on the lunch menu, what we will offer for dessert, and who will make our cake. I just emailed a lot of photographers...I thought I had found one but I didn't realize she wasn't located in Columbus.

Second, we are going to the Columbus Arts Festival on Saturday. YAY! I'm excited. I'm hoping to have a little extra cash just in case I see something I want to buy. :o)

Third, I'll get my picture DVD from Jen. I can get a free photo book and free prints from Shutterfly. I think I'll take them up on that.

Forth, I'll keep my fingers crossed I get an interview....no reason to think that though. Just prayin.

Also, I will try almost anything once. Food, product, adventure. Can't say I'll do it ever again, but I will try it once. Especially if I can get something for free out of it too. :oP So, I'm trying this product from Nivea.
My Silhouette!
I had a coupon and if I bought the lotion I got body wash for free. I figure it's worth a try. I'll let you know if I see a difference. It says you will see results in 4 weeks. We will see.....

Ok, time to get off the computer. I've job hunted and photographer hunted and I played around with this blog layout long enough last night. I just couldn't quit. :o)

guest book

Our guest book...compliments of Jen! :o)
THANK YOU!!

I can NOT wait to order this! I'm going to make sure I can order it VERY soon!!

computer day

I think I have been on the computer for about 3 hours! I've been doing e-mails, blog layout, and job hunting. The blog layout is finally acceptable to me. :o) I'm just too picky and kept messing around with it. Also, Jen helped me out and designed a guest book for me. We loved it! I can't wait to order it!! We went to Target today too and had two pictures printed from the ones Jen already sent me. (I only had two acceptable frames available) I have to say we are super lucky to have Jen! How else would we have gotten such great pictures! THANK YOU JEN! Plus, we didn't have any new pictures of us, now we have tons! :o)

Your handy work Jen:

I set up a tasting with Confluence Park too. We picked out three meals and will go try them next Thursday. Depending on the answers to the questions I asked, we might have a photographer too. http://www.meganweaverphoto.com/ I hope we make this decision very soon...I'm ready to have a very checked off list soon! Just over 4 months away.... :o)

never again

They say vacuuming burns about 200 calories...and I think I did just that. I finally bought new Fabreze Carpet Cleaner so I decided I would vacuum the WHOLE apartment...including the stairs. I think I lost 5lbs in sweat! I kid you not. AND I will NEVER vacuum the stairs again. It will be Erin's job for the rest of our lives....or until we can afford a cleaner. :o) Why you ask...because while vacuuming the stairs, the vacuum fell on me. I now have a headache and it hurts to lift my arm. It didn't fall on me until I was on the last step! But the carpets look amazing and it smells clean linen fresh. :o)

Also, it sucks spending a lot of money at the store...but bright side is, we had NO food and we shouldn't need much the next two weeks...besides milk and juice.

The Meijers here now has a Red Box too. I never used one...always passed them by. But Nick and Jen took us to one when we were there this weekend. I figure $1....compared to the $5 you spend at the store, why not give it a try. Catch is we have to return it by 9 tomorrow. We never return movies on time. Really...never! So, we will see. I rented Bride Wars, Transporter 3, and the new Underworld movie. Can you guess who I was trying to surprise?! :o)

Last but not least. I do my best not to get discouraged at the 'rejection' letters/emails from companies I've applied to. It's hard to remember I'm only one of millions of people affect by this economy and the loss of jobs. Ohio unemployment alone is over 10% for month. I need to be thankful that Erin has a good job, that I get unemployment, and I have amazing parents who are a phone call away. IT still sucks though.

I'm a follower....

So, I'm a follower and I like it! :o) Actually, I was thinking about posting about the things I love after my 'I hate' post. However, Jen beat me to it, so I'll be a follower. I tried changing up my header and blog, but I'm not feeling creative today. Plus, I'm on my laptop and I prefer the desktop upstairs. Well, even though I'm in a mood, I think I can come up with some things/people that I love....

1. Erin no matter what is going on he does what he can to make me happy.

2. My parents...so much is going on, on their end, and yet they are trying to make my wedding everything I want it to be.

3. My Lexi girl who can always make me smile!

4. That even though I'm unemployed, I can keep house for Erin...ie: cooking, cleaning, laundry, bills

5. Zoos - Erin takes me even though he would prefer not to go.

6. My few - but amazing friends

7. The overwhelming response to our Save the Date cards.

8. That Jen is able to design a lot of my wedding stuff....ie: invites, maps, guest book, and so on.

9. That I'm creative enough to make our wedding favors and other elements to make everything more personal.

10. Erin offering to go get Dairy Queen if dinner doesn't turn out like the picture.

11. I still get tucked in...it's just by Erin now.

12. That in a year we could be starting our family.

13. That my dad is trying just as hard to help me get a job as he tries to get himself a job.

14. That my dad and I graduated from college the same year.

15. (I agree Jen....) Coke! As Erin says....my crack. :o)

16. Stalking the mail man.

17. Blogs...I click on some 20x a day.....just because I can. And that my boring blog is read anywhere from 5 - 10x a day by people.

18. That I found Erin, he knows me...sometimes better than I know myself.

19. That Jen took some engagement photos for us and will take trash the dress pictures too. (by the way Jen....My mom thought the ones you emailed me and I fwd to her were WONDERFUL!)

20. I'm alive, somewhat healthy, happy, and loved!!

every ones doing it....

Well, every ones doing this 20 things you hate blog. ie...Jen. :oP SO, I've been pretty moody/hateful lately, I figured why not. It could be fun. :o)
(and Jen...I will redo my blog stuff tomorrow or Friday....)

1. Not having a job.

2. I want/need a job so badly I almost applied to Kroger. Instead I applied to Hobby Lobby.

3. Waking up some mornings in a panic because I don't know how we will pay all the bills for the month.

4. People who think they are sooooo better than other people because of where they live, what they do, who they are.

5. When my IPod dies right before a long road trip and I'm stuck with the radio.

6. That Erin hates, hates his job and HAS to keep it because I'm unemployed.

7. People who get on your ass on the highway because you aren't going fast enough...and then in 15 min I have to pass them because THEY don't know what cruise control is.

8. Cancer. Nuf said

9. That Lexi needs to wake me up before 9 every morning.

10. The apartment complex mowing the grass sooooo short and the matted dead grass that ends up on top of it.

11. That I have to rely on my parents for almost all of the wedding costs. :o/

12. Grocery shopping....why do people feel the need to stop and contemplate what to get in every isle...do you seriously never by crackers and don't have a favorite brand?!

13. Junk emails! NO, I don't want to send so and so money in whatever country.

14. Wrong numbers...especially the IN one that calls once a week and leave a message for Ryan...um, no, my name is Sara.

15. When I try to cook a new meal and it goes all wrong.

16. Not having the money to by my prescriptions. $70 is just tooo much!

17. The person at the drive through who can't speak english.

18. That I have had one interview in almost 6 months.....but send out my resume to a few companies every day!

19. Kate on Jon and Kate Plus 8....I liked her better when she was real....(yes...I watch the show....)

20. Living far away from everyone!

decisions...

We keep going back and forth on honeymoon ideas. I want to be able to site see and do stuff. Erin just wants to lay on a beach. I however, can't just lay on a beach...I will burn! I think we have maybe decided on something though....well for now....
I think we are going to go to Chicago to stay in one of the Renaissance hotels there. We can shop, go to the museums, or just relax at the hotel. Plus, we could stop by Jen and Nicks for a trash the dress session with Jen and Hannah's 1st b-day party. The Renaissance hotels are offering 20% off stays and there is a stay for breakfast package or a romance package. Maybe, this idea will stick! :o)
Also, I was looking for rings online. :oP This is what I'm looking to get. It matches my engagement band. Now to find a ring for Erin.
My final decision is our guestbook. I had one idea that I showed my mom and she said that no one would do it. :o/ However, while at Jens I saw her guestbook...I somehow missed it on her wedding day. oops, I was busy though. I really liked it. Erin liked it too. I think with the pictures Jen took this weekend I will make a picture guestbook too.
I'm hoping to do our tasting in the next week or two, so we can make some decisions on the reception food. I'm really excited. Plus, I emailed a lot of photographers last night, so maybe we will decide on one. Then a lot of the big things are decided on!! finally
Still lots to do...I feel like I'm just going to run out of time! It's going to be here before I know it!

pictures

I decided to post some pics of the fun things I got while at Jens.

I bought these on our trip to the outlet mall.
sooo pretty!
My Christmas present from Jen.
I put pics of Lexi in it and hung it in our room.

My birthday present from Jen

AND, I think Lexi was happy to have us home. :o)

headed home

I happen to be the only one awake so far....so I decided to post a quick blog. Erin and I head home today...probably in an hour actually. I'm ready for my bed and to see Lexi, I miss her. But, I wish we just lived closer to Jen and Nick. Jen was trying to convince Erin that we need to move here. Requirements, per Erin, are jobs for both - duh :o) and a hockey rink for him. I'll have to look into that this week.
We took pictures yesterday at Coffee Creek, where Jen had her wedding pics. I hope we got some good ones! I know Jen can take pictures, but not sure if Erin and I were good subjects. :oP I can't wait to see them! They have to be good because I want to use one in my new frame (I'll post a pic of my new stuff this week) and I want to make a guest book for the wedding with them too. *fingers crossed* they are good. I'm excited about seeing them. Especially since Jen made me stand on a tree trunk in my shoes....heels. :oP
Well that's it for now. Getting ready for the drive. Expect lots of pics and posts this week....maybe....I have a lot of internet searching to do....wedding photographer (Jens busy that day) :o), honeymoon, guest book options, hockey rink locations, jobs, and I'll probably redo my header if we get good pics. :o) SO, maybe I'll post about them.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Starting yesterday I started trying to track my calories. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. The Cook Yourself Thin tv show I have mentioned more than once on here, says that you should take your goal weight and multiple it by 10. That's how many calories you should eat a day when trying to lose weight. It wasn't so bad and I realized I don't do that bad on calories. I am trying it out again today...breakfast alone was about 500 calories! (we had pancakes, bacon, and I had to have syrup.) :oP But I did have a bowl of fruit too. Anyways, I'm realizing that portioning my food to the serving size, isn't hard, and it's enough food to keep me full!

Now I need to get back to watching Criminal Minds....it's the finale. The previews scared me so we had to watch it in the day light. (I don't like horror movies and the previews were like a horror movie!) Let me just say....oh my goodness! I've had to hide my eyes a few times and I don't want to go to a pig farm anytime soon!

Here is a pic of Lexi today...after her breakfast, a little bit of bacon, and newly filled catnip toy...it's time for sleep in the sun! So cute!

goodbye fall tv

Goodbye fall TV! Out last season finale was last night. NCIS. I will say that out of all our season finale's Greys was one of the best...it ended with what I call a real cliff hanger. All our other shows it doesn't leave us guessing a lot. I feel they ended as a normal episode, but we have to wait a few months before we can see what happens. I do wish they would give us a little teaser...like film a few teasers to show as a preview after the season finales. :O) But it is fun, Erin and I just keep making guesses as to what is going to happen.

Now we are debating getting rid of cable for a few months. The plus is we can get caught up on bills and when I get a job get it back. However, then we have no internet....the library is just a stop light away so I can go there daily to job hunt. Who knows what we will do.
Ready for the weekend! I wrapped up gifts last night and am going to get all the laundry done today. Then that we can pack tomorrow. YAY Jens! AND this year we will see each other more than once a year!! We will see each other in September and October, hmmmm I wonder why. :oP Then, I'm thinking we will have to plan a visit before we try getting preg. I'm so excited for the rest of this year and the plans for the future years. Now if I could just get a feakin job! Then Erin can concentrate on finding a new job.
Here is a picture of Lexi today....she sits in the sun for a bit then come out from the window to cool off, she now likes our shoes.

finally

SO, we finally have a rehearsal dinner planned! Of course its our original plan too. *rolling my eyes* Hoggy's catered to the apt clubhouse, however, it will be our old apt clubhouse, since ours now doesn't rent out space. But still, it's finally planned! I can stop stressing. It's just been a stress filled couple of days.

Today I went to Target....I love Target! I went in just to pay our bill and look. I ended up finding a cute top for pictures on Sunday. (I had to return my dress...so I was having problems thinking of what else to wear) But I found a top...super cute, I can't find it online otherwise I'd post a picture. But it's light green, long, v-neck in front and back. $12.99! Then I ended up getting a great idea for Jens b-day gift and had to go look for a cute toy for Hannah! :o) I have to do my best to spoil her. It's not online either...ah well. So my simple, pay the bill trip, resulted in shopping. :oP That's why I should only go when Erin is going with me.

Now to do something...I should be baking for Jens party...but I'll probably wait and do it Friday, otherwise we would eat all the cookies. I should also be doing laundry...I gathered it and brought it downstairs. I should also do my nails. hmmmm
But I like Lexis idea best....laying in the sun. :o)

random

I realized that I never posted a picture of our new pillows for our couch. I have been looking around for pillows for a long time. I'm tired of always using the pillows from our bed. We got these at Pier 1. Erin picked them out, they are really soft!

I really, really want to change my header and colors on this blog, but I should wait until next week. If things work out we will get some pictures taken and then I can use one of those.

Also, this whole rehearsal dinner is getting out of hand! I'm at this point, OVER IT! I feel that the dinner should be for the wedding party...a way to say thank you for your help and support and then standing up for us on wedding day. It's about Erin and I and the promise we are going to make to each other the next day....it's not longer about us! It's a family reunion for his family. The count and the cost is getting out of hand! I just give up. I don't even want a dinner anymore. :o) That's my tantrum for losing control of this dinner! It's an issue for me....losing control. :oP

Needless to say I'm ready for the weekend! I hope that in some way things work out and we can go to Jens on Thursday as planned! I think I'm going to go over finances this afternoon and see if we can do that, instead of heading there on Saturday.

Just cleaning today and working out my bad mood...ugh. Then tomorrow I think I'm going to go to Target and get Jens b-day present. :o) Back to my project and waiting for Erin to get home.

Cheese, Vegetable and Bacon Frittata

The Recipe

6 large eggs
1/4 cup low-fat (1-percent) milk
1/4 pound bacon, cooked and roughly chopped
1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
Olive oil spray
1 garlic clove, chopped
1/4 cup white onion, diced
1/2 cup asparagus, sliced into
1/2-inch sticks1 large zucchini, sliced into half-moons
1/2 cup assorted mushrooms, sliced thinly
1/4 cup tomato, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1. Turn broiler on to low setting. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, bacon and grated Romano. Set aside.
2. Heat a medium nonstick saute pan over medium-high heat. Spray with olive oil. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Add asparagus and zucchini to pan. Saute 4 to 5 minutes.

4. Add mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, and freshly chopped basil, oregano and thyme, and saute for another 2 minutes. Add the egg mixture and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the bottom has set and browned.

5. Place the frittata into the oven and broil until golden and fluffy. Remove from pan and cut into 6 portions. (I added green onion and a little cheese before putting it in the oven.)
TA DA!

It was REALLY Yummy! And keep in mind I made a 1/2 version of the above recipe. And don't be dumb like me and touch the pan handle after it comes out of the oven....it will be HOT! DUH!

And I couldn't resist taking a picture of Lexi....this is what she did while I cooked....(the windows are open today)

Sunday, May 17, 2009

First off...we didn't make the new man and cheese last night...so another night.
Second, we saw Angels and Demons yesterday morning. We really liked it. I liked it more than The DaVinci Code. However, that may be because it's been a few years since I read the book. With The Da Vinci Code, I had just read it so it was fresh in my mind when I watched the movie. I do want to re-read Angels and Demons now, since I know some things were left out about different characters. But all in all it was good. My mom even asked about it, because she wants to see it. Which surprises me because she refused to read the book when my dad and I told her about one part of it...which wasn't in the movie (but I don't want to spoil it for you!) She is old school Catholic and I'm not getting into that stuff. :o)

Anyways, today I have to go to Erin's hockey game. I haven't been since we moved here. I used to go every Sunday in Indy if I could get away from work. I promised I'd go this week.

Here is a picture of Lexi that I took the other day. She seriously sits like this on the stairs a LOT! Here she was watching lights flicker on the wall.

Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes

Last night I made Chicken and Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes. It was really good. You couldn't taste the cauliflower.

The Recipe

1/2 large head cauliflower, broken into florets
1/2 cup nonfat buttermilk
1 pound Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled, quartered lengthwise and sliced 1/2-inch thick
1/2–3/4 cup low-fat milk
Salt
Pepper
1 tablespoon butter
2 scallions, chopped

place the cauliflower in a steamer basket, set over boiling water, cover, and steam 15 minutes. Transfer to a food processor, add the buttermilk and 1/4 cup of the milk, and puree until very smooth, about 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, place potatoes in a saucepan and add cold salted water to cover by about 2 inches; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain, return to the saucepan and heat over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes to dry.
Mash with a potato masher.
Add the cauliflower puree, 1/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Stir to blend, and heat over medium-low heat, adding more milk as needed for a creamy consistency.
Stir in the butter and the scallions.
Cover, and set aside to keep warm.
I just mashed it all together when it was done.
That's what they did on TV.

Here is the Chicken...I just seasoned it with Lemon Pepper

My pretty vegetables

Tonight it's hamburgers and a low cal mac and cheese.

Friday...

I had my interview today. 1st one in 5 months! I'm just soooo ready for a job it's crazy! It was with Edwards Communities, in case you forgot from my last post. :o) It went really well, I think, I hope. It's always hard to tell. We talked for about 45 min...we were just having a good conversation. We even side tracked into talking about our weddings. *side note* Whenever Erin and I are out and someone asks when our wedding is, he is the first to answer! I can't even process the question and he is answering October 10. So cute. I love him! Anyways, back to the interview...next step is I'll have an online assessment, then if they like my score I'll interview with the regional manager. *fingers crossed* AND, get this! If you are hired, they give you $ to buy 3 pairs of dress pants and 1 jacket at either Macy's or The Limited! LOVE IT! :o)

So, get ready for dinner posts. I'm going to be making some new dinners from the show and soon cook book, Cook Yourself Thin. I'll take pics and post the recipes after we try them. I can't wait!

As promised, here are some zoo pics....
The mighty Penguin....He never moved.
The dead turtle...we he never moved either...we decided he was dead

Koala...this one never moved either

AND the baby elephant...he just walked next to his mommy the whole time.
So cute!

Thursday, May 14, 2009

good day

We went to the zoo today....finally after 2 years! I'll post pictures later on. They had a baby elephant and we got some good pictures of him. Also, we went after the rain, so some of the animals weren't outside. All in all it was ok. The Indianapolis Zoo was definitely better! Even the DC Zoo. So ah well. We might try going to the Cincy Zoo later on. We are even going to try to plan a Kings Island trip in August, after kids go back to school.

Also, I just ordered a new cookbook. Cook Yourself Thin. I can't wait to try the recipes. The show is really good and I can't wait to try the food.

But, a good day all around. Starting to get some wedding stress....but it's not even the wedding details that are stressing me out. :o) I'm just going to let Erin handle it. :oP

So now to hem my new dress pants for my interview tomorrow and then upstairs for Law and Order Criminal Intent, (DVR is good) so Erin can play games. I'll update after my interview and errands tomorrow with zoo pictures too. :o)

Fingers Crossed...

I have a job interview on Friday! YAY!! I'm just grateful to FINALLY have had a phone call, furthermore an interview!!
It's at Edwards Communities as a leasing consultant. I can totally do that! Plus maybe I would get a discount on an apartment...since my favorite one for next year is The Quarry and it's one of their communities. I'm always thinking ahead! Plus the hours wouldn't be awful! 10-7 M-S and 12-6 on Sunday. Kind of retail hours, but not the late nights! Plus I would get at least one weekend off a month.
So, fingers crossed, it's on Friday....now to pick out an outfit...I think my black suit and my new dark green shirt with my flower heels...yep, that's what I'm thinking.

I'm sooo excited, I got my dress today and an interview. :o)

So, I'm up WAY early because I'm soooo excited about paying for my dress. It has to be the one since I'm soooo excited. I don't want to wait 5 months to wear it. :o) Now I have to start thinking about my hair, if I want a veil or not...I found these cute bands on Etsy, so I'm thinking of going that route, I want my hair to be more down, some curls in it. Who knows. Plus I get to think about jewelry....Which means going shopping in moms collection. :oP I think this weekend Erin and I will go get my ears re-pierced, yep, re-pierced. I have one ear that is fine, but the other one, the whole is closed up in the back. I can't get earrings through.

Also, I've been watching this new tv show on Lifetime. It's called Cook Yourself Thin. I watch it while working out, healthy tv while working out, I figured it's a good thing. :o) But, it's a really good show and I love the ideas and the recipes so far. The episodes I've seen so far, the ladies have lost 1-2 dress sizes in 6 weeks! Amazing for them! I want to get the cook book now. (maybe I'll go check Target today, see if they have it there)

OK, time to get ready to leave. I still have 2 hours...I wish they opened before 11. I think I'll wear my new shoes today too...with my new top...hmmmmm

dress

I PICKED MY DRESS!!!!

I go pay for it tomorrow!! :o) YAY!!

I'd post pics, but I can't. :oP It's very pretty and I look skinny...which is hard to do these days. And I've lost some weight since the first time I tried on dresses...so, that's good...right? YES!

Ok, time to walk with Erin. It's our thing now. This will be the third day in a row for our walks around the complex. GO US!

Jen, check your email...TRAUMA!

*this parts for Jen* :o)
So Harper's Island...I still want to believe is Jimmy....But I was bored last night and reading the discussion boards on the website and someone brought up the idea of it being Maggie...the planner. They made some good points. But I never stick with my first choice, so I'm going to on this one. :o) Oh, and it's less than 2 weeks till we visit you! YAY! :o)

Other than that...not much going on. Waiting for some checks to arrive and then I'll be able to make some decisions on my dress. I keep changing my mind...ugh! So, I'm going to have to decide when the $$ comes. hmmmm

Um, yeah...I just have nothing interesting for today. I was hoping to go to the zoo on Thursday but it's forecasting thunderstorms...for the 3 Thursday in a row! So we will see.

Yeah...that's all I got for today. :o)

TA DA

Here is my shop....

It's not completely done...when Jen gets better internet my header will change. I just needed something to get by. I didn't want to wait any longer to set it up. :o)

Free chocolate Friday!

I know....

I know where all the socks go....UNDER the dryer....so after sweeping what dust wasn't caked onto the floor and throwing away the socks that have been there for who knows how long...They installed the new washer and dryer!
Isn't is just beautiful! I'm going to do all our laundry today! YAY!

It's sad I'm this excited about a washer and dryer...I even called my mom. K, time to shower, that floor was GROSS after they were done with it.

It's really the little things that make me happy.

Random, I know...here are some lists.....we know I love lists!

Things I should be worried about and I'm not...I just know they will work themselves out...
1. I'm getting married in 5 months and I don't have a photographer,
2. or a dress!
3. Unemployment runs out in, oh, 8 weeks!
4. Paying the mounting bills, it's bill week, I had 3 emails when I woke up saying here is your new bill....Didn't I just pay you?!
5. Getting everything done in time for my wedding...

I'm really excited for
1. My wedding!
2. Jens houses (we haven't seen each other in over a year!
3. Meeting Hannah and just getting to hang out with a baby. (my baby clock is going to be ticking like crazy when we leave!)
4. September...I think that's when I'll see my parents, or at least my mom again
5. My wedding! :o)

(I love saying MY wedding! We get to do a tasting in a few weeks. Yippie.)

Enjoying...
1. Triumphing these life challenges and coming through stronger...both Erin and I are...
2. Being able to keep a clean apartment, do laundry, make dinner for Erin
3. Being spoiled by Erin.
4. Starting an Etsy Store.
5. The way life is going right now.

Feeling really calm today. OH and less of a stalker...I moved my desk so that when I'm at the computer I no longer face the window...Now I don't feel like I'm spying on the neighbors when I hear something and instinctively turn my head to look out the window. I'll stick to being an internet stalker. :o)
Ready for the weekend! Erin and I have been walking when it's nice outside these days and Saturday we are going to walk to the library. :o) It's not that far away...maybe 2 miles, that's pushing it though. Other than that just a lot of relaxing! I have tons of stuff in the fridge so we don't need to go out and we can just hang out.

Seriously...

We need a 'first' dance song.

I want it to be 'Everything' by Michael Buble.

Erin just doesn't know...

Any ideas?!

I'm spoiled!

Very good day today looking at the Hotels for Erin's mom. We found what she wanted at the Holiday Inn. We found what we wanted at The Renaissance! When looking at the rooms I started thinking that a suite would be better for us. There would be more room for us girls to have our hair and make up done in the morning. SO, Erin let me upgrade us to a Junior Suite! :o) I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY can't wait now!
Then we went to Macy's to get my dress for the pictures with Jen in 2 WEEKS! SEE ....

Also, I wasn't going to look at shoes, I had an idea of which ones to wear with the dress and we were walking by them to leave and Erin started picking out shoes for me. He picked up one pair and we decided they would kind of match the dress and would be cute with jeans or khakis...so, he bought me these .... I didn't even ask! :o) SO CUTE! (I bought the last pair and they are HIGH!)

Then we needed to get Erin some shorts he has been asking for awhile. We had to order them because AE didn't have his size, but while there I found a GREAT $10 find. I think it will be cute for Jens party on Saturday with jeans or khakis.
Now to finish my letter and get pics so I can start up my Etsy site. :o) OH and we are going to the zoo next week. YAY! :o)

wedding update

So, I forgot all about the most important part of our wedding....the officiant! (shaking my head)
Well, we have one! It's going to be Erin's best friends dad. He is a minister and we are so lucky to have him be our officiant! He has been like a dad to Erin since Erin became friends with his son. Since the first day I met him he made me feel welcome. We are sooo lucky to have someone who knows us be a part of our special day in a very special way. (corny I know) :o) PLUS, our DJ is also one of Erin's childhood friends. I'm so excited that not only our wedding party is made up of our closets friends, but even our vow and music providers are. :o)

SO, I still have all these lists running though my head of what we need and need to do. BUT, I need money for it...well and it's still too early to do stuff. I am testing our favors and seeing how early I can make the cookies and if I can freeze them or freeze the dough, or whatever, so I'm not making 400 cookies the day before. :o)

To get money for the wedding....we are trying not to charge all of what we pay for...(easier said than done!) I'm am going to set up an Etsy store. I have to get these two initials made so I can have a few 'finished' pictures and then get a store name and such....so I'm thinking a week to get it up. Lets just hope people like what they see and want to make purchases. :o) I know, I know...I just need a job. Someone has to got to hire me soon! Plus side, I haven't had any 'thanks for applying, but we went with someone else' letters in about 3 weeks....maybe an interview is around the corner....

Haper's Island

I know I said I'd do an update...but only one person died, and the bride almost did, I think that was a set up! Which makes another possible murderer. I still am holding out for my first idea of it being Jimmy, the ex. And I decided last night that whoever the murderer is....he or she, doesn't have a plan as to who is going to die. I think they are just setting up the traps and whoever dies, dies. They will stop with Abby dies....That's what the psychic said last night. I mean, how could they know Hunter would be on the boat, or that the uncle would walk across the bridge...

I am glad it's not obvious who the killer is. I like that when your watching your like, that person is going to die and then you second guess yourself. It's like I'm reading one of my mystery books. :o)

We decided not to get a house next May....Erin says we need another car more than we need a house. Which is true...with our plan we might be able to get another car next winter. There are pluses and minuses to a house vs apartment and right now I'm ok with apartment. No yard, no maintenance....granted I WANT the space and kitchen you get with a house. SO, next May we will move, but into another townhouse in a community that offers new home credit. Basically as we pay rent we earn money towards the down payment of a new home. (I wish we had moved this May) I've got our choices down to 4 apartments. We will have to go see them later on to make a decision. They all offer townhouses, some with basements, some have garages, all offer full size washer/dryer connections...so we could get new. :o) Then they would be ours for when we get a house.
Basically our requirements this time around: nicer, more spacious kitchen, 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms with a basement. I want to have our bedroom, baby bedroom, and then either a room or basement for guests/hang out.
Our favorites:
The Quarry In Hilliard...I want to move back to that area. Nice kitchens, garage. Granted it's either 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom....it's got great amenities.
Olentangy Commons Ok area, close to 315, LOVE the kitchen. even enough space to add one of those kitchen carts they have at Target...all our requirements basically!
The others...What gets me is the kitchens....But the location for both is decent and they are comparable to where we are. (we would stay here if we had down payment credit)
Heritage Glen
Worthington Meadows

So yeah....That's our plan....for now. But with our plan of starting to try for a baby being a year from August, Erin really wants to get a newer car first. So we have two good reliable safe cars. :o)

Etsy

So, I'm considering starting a shop on Etsy.....just a way to earn a little extra cash. I went online yesterday to see what kind of cross stitch that people were selling. Not a lot...not a lot of cute baby things...I'm thinking I might put up the alphabet letters I make. I've been making these letters for years! I can do one in less than a week. It's all I do when Erin and I watch tv. I'm slightly ADD, I can't just sit and watch tv, I have to be doing something. Plus, I'm nice and try to give Erin as much video game time on the weekends that I can....ie: I cross stitch a lot. I'm going to time myself on the two I have to make and will be starting on today. Then make a decision. Erin said it would be ok for me to do this. Who knows....I may be getting in on this Etsy thing! :o)

Besides that, not a lot. We now have to go look at the suites in the hotels that we have rooms blocked at next Thursday. :o/ UGH. BUT, it's for Erins mom. Right now though, we are going to go see X-Men. It's my turn to pick a movie, but Erin's had a tough week and I figured we can spare $10 and go see it. It makes him happy. :o) AND Harper's Island is on tonight....I wish it were on Thursdays still, however it gives us something to watch on Saturdays now. I'll update on that tomorrow. :o) I really like this show!

OK, I must apply for jobs before we leave......anyone want to hire me?!

a little bit of bridzilla showing through....

I know I'm being selfish
I know it's not MY wedding, MY day...it's also Erins :o)
You just can't take my plans and change it because you are family. YOu have to ask the bride first.

AGH!

Needless to say last night and still today I'm a bit of a bridezilla. :o) And through my tears last night, I told Erin I was being selfish and I have to accept change to my plans....but that no one asked me and I feel I should have been asked! He understood and hugged me. Even tried to explain the reason why to me....but I wasn't having any of it. :oP (Jen I'll myspace message you the trama. :o) )
I just woke up still annoyed with it all! I needed to vent.
Here's a happy picture...
My new cousin and her big sisters, I love that they have red hair! There weren't enough of us in that family! (Really, there were only three of us...now there is 6!)
